ar X iv : h ep - p h / 04 09 12 2 v 1 1 0 Se p 20 04 Predictions for multi - particle final states with SHERPA

In this contribution the new event generation framework SHERPA will be presented, which aims at a full simulation of events at current and future high-energy experiments. Some first results related to the production of weak vector bosons in association with jets at the Tevatron and the LHC will be discussed.

This review covers selected results from the LEP experiments on the structure of quasi-real and virtual photons. The topics discussed are the total hadronic cross-section for photon-photon scattering, hadron production, jet cross-sections, heavy quark production for photon-photon scattering, photon structure functions, and crosssections for the exchange of two virtual photons.

A manifestation of Kaluza-Klein picture in hadronic spectra is discussed. We argue that the experimentally observed structures in hadronic spectra confirm the Kaluza-Klein picture of the world.
